About Award Winning Books for Children
This website is designed to remove some of the risk in buying books for children. There are many, many children’s books and there is also, unfortunately, a massive range in quality from magnificent to miserable. I have bought books for my children and felt very disappointed by them, to try to avoid this I actively look for recommendations from friends but have also found some fabulous award winning books.
Awarding bodies should hopefully aim high when judging books, so I would consider a shortlisted book worth reading. I have many award winning children’s books and find they really do stand the test of time and can be read again and again with my children. A good book for children can really have a massive impact. Many of the children’s books on this site are picture books, many of which are truly beautiful.
I hope you find a brilliant book for your child here.
